THE EVENING

Some evenings stay with you.

Not because of what was planned — but because of what became possible when a small group of people showed up fully present with each other.

On July 18th, Joe Shoemaker and Tressa Yonekawa are hosting an intimate evening on a private seven-acre estate on Sauvie Island. Twelve people. Three experiences. One collective exhale.

The experience

Presence & Connection with Tressa Yonekawa

Tressa has spent 30 years studying how humans actually connect — and what gets in the way.

What she brings to this evening is a lived, embodied experience of what it feels like to genuinely meet another person — and be met in return. Through simple partner-based exercises, she creates the conditions for something that's become increasingly rare: real human contact, without the armor.

People who have done this work with her tend to leave quieter, softer, and more themselves than when they arrived.

IIndian Feast, Dinner by Chef Anjali

Anjali Wyntrhoop is a culinary treasure, instructor and passionate chef who will be brining us fare from her native land near Mumbai, India. Her food is beloved at our events, melding flavors that send guests into heavenly delight.

Gong Bath in the forest with Joe Shoemaker

As the evening settles, a new tone will be set.

As a 30-year musician Joe found that frequency healing, particularly using gong, creates deep transformations for his coaching clients. In the evening’s final journey he’ll lead the group beneath the Douglas firs for a sound healing that carries you somewhere words don't reach. Yoga mats on the ground. Ancient trees overhead. Frequency moving through the body as the day completes itself. A complete reset.

What People Are Saying

"I'm still on a high. I was deeply touched by each person's story, dream and challenge. These events create such a wild authenticity that I’ll keep coming back for. What a fantastic group."

Alison Tierney, Director of Inclusive Business Partnerships, WSP

“This is the kind of connection - real and unmasked - that I crave and this event really hit the sweet spot. I’d come back again and again because I always learn something important about myself that I can apply directly to my life.”

Jennifer Wakayama, co-founder, Innovative Benefits Group

“Thriving through community is one of my pillars to living a full, balanced life and that’s exactly how I feel attending Joe’s events. Attendees are always so down-to-earth that I feel like I’m walking away with instant new friends. We break bread, connect in very honest ways and lead each other back into our bodies and hearts. What could be better?!
